A local guide offers scale for a fresh bloom of Rafflesia arnoldii -- the world's largest single flower. Growing slowly from cabbage-like buds, Rafflesia put on a show for only a few days. Endemic to the dwindling forests of the Bengkulu province of West Sumatra, sightings are becoming increasingly rare.
